Changes in the United States Marine Corps…Part 1

Don’t Ask…Don’t Tell… To: Ask…Tell… To: Ask…Tell…And get married while you’re at it!

Yeah, I said it! As a former Marine and as they say, once a Marine, always a Marine, I cannot let this one slide. At this point, I don’t care about the other branches of the military; I am concerned about the Marine Corps. I cannot believe that this is happening, and if you follow my tweets, then you will be familiar with my famous words when I say, “Jesus is Coming!” Seriously, people?

I will tell you right now that, no, I’m not a homophobe, no, all Christians don’t hate gay people, no, the bible doesn’t say gay people are going to hell, no, this post is not about how bad gay people are, and no, I’m not gay…Lol! Anyway, as all people who are not gay say (Lol) I have friends and family members that are gay, lesbian and/or bisexual. The Bible does not tell Christians to hate people who have sex with the same…sex…. Being attractive to the point of carrying out that sin and having sex with someone who is the same sex as you is called….(drum roll please) a SIN! Yes, a sin, and guess what? God sees sin…as sin! He doesn’t see sin as people. He wants to help us to stop sinning not to stop existing! But enough on that.

Back to the beloved Marine Corps. What are you doing? Okay, why was the “don’t ask, don’t tell” implemented in the first place? Huh? Well? Well then, let me tell you why. First of all, being a Marine, I had to go to this thing called Boot Camp and during boot camp there was a lot of hazing. Especially towards the ones who were gay (and from NY…Lol). Now that this rule has gone into effect, not only in boot camp, but wherever the Marine Corps takes you, there can be trouble from those who have been in for a long time. This is off the chain! This must be the first time in my life that I can honestly say that the Marine Corps has lost their value system to “The World.” And I’m ashamed of that, really I am. When I think of commitment, not only do I think of commitment to my fellow Marines and my Country, but what my country stands for…and now I start my post J

Why is this printed on our currency? How long do you think it will take for “The World” to make an “amendment” that will take those words off of our currency? Oh, you better believe there’s gonna be a poll at the end of this one! But seriously, why do we even have those words there, how did they get there, why have they stayed there for so long? Have you ever asked yourself these questions? Have you ever looked at those words? Do you know what they mean? It’s pretty simple, but the problem is, today, nobody trusts no one! Yeah, two negatives in one sentence, yeah, that’s right! Nobody trusts no one. So, what is trust? Well, let’s see what the dictionary says. Hey, Ghetto doesn’t mean ignorant…okaaayyy.

  • Assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something
  • One in which confidence is placed
  • Dependence on something future or contingent: Hope
  • A charge or duty imposed in faith or confidence or as a condition of some relationship
  • Something committed or entrusted to one to be used or cared for in the interest of another
  • Care, Custody <the child committed to her trust>

I think that speaks for itself. Let me post this while I finish this because I have a feeling this is gonna be a long one.
