Today the President of the United States announced an end the the war in Iraq. As Americans all over the United States celebrate the return of thousands of US military troops, thousands of protests are forming into one. An article written by Alan Taylor on October 17, 2011 featured in the Atlantic, showcased fifty photos of what has been taking place across the globe.

Is it possible that our troops will be coming home in order to defend our country from a movement that has gone wrong? Does President Obama suspect that we will need our troops for the coming months ahead as the Occupy Wall Street Movement get’s their demands together and moves forward in the US? Have we forgotten this video?

This video was also filmed in October. But there could be another outcome. Instead of our troops coming home to stay, they could very well be sent out as fast as they got sent back. Will our current President make this call? I don’t know as of now, but I will hopefully hear something soon from my sources. There are a lot of unanswered questions in this decision:
Was this decision President Obama’s? Or did our contract run out?
This is from the CNN article: About 39,000 U.S. troops are in Iraq, and the U.S. had wanted to keep from 3,000 to 5,000 troops in Iraq past 2011 to aid in training and security. But the current Status of Forces Agreement with Iraq dictates the U.S. troops leave by year’s end, and the United States and Iraq had been unable to come to an agreement on key issues regarding legal immunity for U.S. troops who would remain in Iraq, effectively ending discussion of maintaining a significant American force presence beyond 2011.
What does it mean for those in Iraq who still have plans for the US?

I’m not trying to be the bad guy here, but I am trying to be a Marine, well I don’t have to try, it’s drilled into me, and I know as a Marine, it’s never…”Awwww, are you tired, Mawine, want to come home now?” There’s ALWAYS a catch. If it was every other service BUT the Marine Corps, then I wouldn’t be writing this article. When I know more, I’ll write more, so…till next time and God Bless!
Good toast!
